Calamine Inspiration

Take inspiration from our Farrow & Ball colour of the week, No. 230, Calamine.
Calamine is indeed named after the lotion we all used as children to sooth nettle stings and rashes! Its seemingly almost blue undertone prevents it from being too sugary and pink. In smaller rooms it becomes intense and demanding but in larger well lit rooms it feels much more delicate.
Calamine would make the perfect colour for a little one's bedroom, or on wooden furniture, contrased against an All White background.
Why not opt to do something a little different, and adorn your bathroom in Calamine, combined with a pink throw and towels, for a rustic, farmhouse charm look.Using Calamine for your front door would also make a perfect, delicate and feminine finish.
TIP: For a bold look, pair Calamine with Brinjal and London Clay. If you want to opt for something a little more neutral, why not pair with Nancy's Blushes and Wevet.
